Six-Week Life Story Writing Course
October 30 through December 11, 2019
(no session on November 27, the day before Thanksgiving)
Have you ever wanted to write your story for yourself, your children, your grandchildren? Have you struggled with how to begin? Then this six-week series is for you! Learn how to jump-start the process in a safe, supportive and relaxed setting. Learn how you can write your story two pages at a time. Explore life themes, learn memory-jogging techniques and tips for mining the ‘good stuff’ buried inside the big picture.
The series will consist of six two-hour sessions. At each session a new theme will be introduced for participants to use in writing their two pages during the week. Issues and insights individuals have experienced during the previous week will be discussed and inspirational tips for memory jogging and creative writing will be provided. During the second half of each session, participants will share their stories with the group—and this is where the magic really happens! No previous creative writing experience is necessary.
WHEN: Sessions will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoons, from October 30 through December 11 (no session on November 27, the day before Thanksgiving)
WHERE: Baba’s Mediterranean Kitchen, 745 E. Fort Ave., in the Riverside neighborhood of Baltimore. Baba’s closes between lunch and dinner, so we will have this warm and inviting space all to ourselves. Plenty of free street parking; accessible on the Charm City Circulator Banner Route.
COST: $120 for the six-week course.
Group size is limited. Participants will be enrolled in order of registrations received. To enroll, or for questions, please submit on the Contact page.
